The May 29th Workshop is suitable for women who have suffered a distressing or traumatic birth experience and wish to take steps toward healing. Dear All,
AIMS Ireland, the Association for Improvement in the Maternity Services, would like to announce the new details of the re-scheduled Birth Healing Workshop for women in the Dublin area. We apologise to all concerned for having to re-schedule at such short notice. Our facilitators were unable to get back for the workshop due to the volcanic ash flight disturbances.
The May 29th Workshop is suitable for women who have suffered a distressing or traumatic birth experience and wish to take steps toward healing.
This is a full day workshop and will be facilitated by qualified psychotherapists, Anne Gill and Tricia Mc Donnell. Both Anne and Tricia have experience in running Birth Healing workshops for AIMS Ireland where they have supported and helped many women in coming to terms with difficult birth experiences.
More about our facilitators:
Anne Gill is a psychotherapist who also runs HypnoBirthing Antenatal classes. She is the mother of three grown daughters and a grandmother. Anne has worked in many different ways over the years at healing her own traumatic birth, and did trainings in craniosacral work and prenatal and birth therapy. She has also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Trauma Recovery which is a form of body based psychotherapy and Tapas Acupressure Technique. She loves to play with her grandchildren, work in the garden, do yoga and walk in nature.
Tricia McDonnell is a psychotherapist, group facilitator, trainer and mediator. She has been working in the caring profession for thirty years. Tricia is also a mother and has experienced trauma giving birth. She has worked on this in a number of ways and is interested in helping other women who have had similar experiences to begin healing.
Workshop Details:
Date: Saturday, May 29th, 2010
Time: 9.30a.m
Location: The Centre for Professional Therapy, 16 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2

The aim of this workshop is to provide women with a safe and supportive space to initiate the healing process; we ask that all participants respect each others confidentiality.
