This is an event not to be missed!!

Opening the concert will be Dublin singer-songwriter and anti-war activist Paul O’Toole, who has played with Rovics on previous occasions. O’Toole, from Dublin’s northside, is a popular performer with a deep humanitarian and political concern for the people of Palestine.

David Rovics has been described as the musical voice of the US anti-war movement, a decidedly leftist opponent of the so-called ‘war on terror’ and the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. From a Jewish background himself, he is also a strong supporter of the Palestinian people against Israeli oppression. He regularly performs concerts as fundraisers for Palestine solidarity causes.

An indie singer-songwriter, his lyrics are often explicitly political, humanitarian and anti-war.

This is a guy is worth hearing and it promises to be a great gig! Proceeds taken at the door will go to the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign to help fund ongoing campaign work.

For information on David Rovics, go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Rovics

His music can be downloaded for free.

Rovics is an advocate of the creative commons when it comes to his musical compositions: "Feel free to download these songs. Use them for whatever purpose. Send them to friends, burn them, copy them, play them on the radio, on the internet, wherever. Music is the Commons. Ignore the corporate music industry shills who tell you otherwise. Downloading music is not theft, you're not hurting anyone, I promise. (And in any case, yes, this is legal, and I'm making all of these songs available myself.)"

His albums can also be purchased via his website:
